About Us

The Coral Sands Beach Community has a long history in the town of Westbrook.  The development of homes was started in the 1950's, and looked quite different back then.  Ask a few of our longtime members and they will tell you all about where the store used to be and how things looked when they were kids.  Many of the cottages here have remained in the same family for generations and we are fortunate to have many siblings that purchased cottages here to really create a family atmosphere.  We have a brief neighborhood welcome guide here.  Our community operating guidelines or bylaws can be found here.

The Coral Sands Beach is a public beach for which we act as stewards.  All are welcome to bask in the sand and the sea at Coral Sands.  We do our best to keep the beach clean for all to enjoy, and we ask your support by taking with you anything you bring to the beach.  The town also expects that any umbrellas, chairs, tents, etc. are taken down and removed from the beach each day to ensure no community damage from unexpected wind and rain.

The Coral Sands Beach Association is an active member of the Westbrook Council of Beaches.  See their website here
